Matrix Explanation

Whether mixing flavors, colors, or ingredients, the blending of several items produces an overall result that is very specific. When we blend the numerous observable behaviors of a person, we find the result just as specific. And in knowing a person's behavioral interests, we are in a position to react to those behaviors to improve our relationships and interaction. It is just as important for us to know what our behavioral style is as well as knowing that of another person. In this way, we can more readily recognize how our natural tendencies are being viewed and received by another person based on their interests and our interaction.

UNDERSTANDING THE MATRIX

The matrix is based on input from people who know you well. To accomplish a measurement, a person needs to ask five people they know well to fill out simple provided sheets regarding your behavior. It takes about five minutes and is easily completed. The input from these five sheets is worked into the blend and appears on the above measurement as dark blue circles. The blend itself, representing the natural and typical behavioral area of the individual is shown by the red circle above. From this input, certain observable behaviors become apparent and guide the information that is provided in the report.

UNDERSTANDING THE REPORT

The report, or set of suggestions to improve people interaction, is a series of values stated in terms of the behavior itself. That is, taking into account your own behavioral style, and that of another person, suggestions are listed to help guide you through your interaction with them.

As an example, let's say you turn out to be (from the matrix measurement above) a fast-paced, people-oriented person, such as the Exciteable and Enthusiastic person described elsewhere, and you are dealing with a direct opposite style such as the Logical and Analytical type person. If your natural behavioral style is to move, talk and act quickly, you could irritate and annoy the other person who prefers for things to move slowly, cautiously, and with exact specifics. So, you can continue to act, talk, and move quickly in your interaction, covering informaton briefly, quickly, and with little supportive data, and in so doing, both annoy the other person, and restrict them from fully understanding your points, direction, or assignment. Or, you could, for this particular person, slow down, cover information more specifically, and in greater detail. This will not change your natural tendency or who and what you are, but it will alter your interaction with this one person to the point where your efforts with them will be more effective and succesful.
While this exaplanation is stated in simple terms, it nonetheless is accurate and describes the way in which interactions can be altered and, therefore, improved.
The report accompanying the matrix measurement contains dozens of suggested interactions with each of the major behavioral styles; shows what you can do and the effect your actions will tend to have on the other person.

The mesaurement tetragon matrix is subdivided into 4,096 behavioral cubes that are blended into one overall behavior pattern. This pattern is a series of percentages of individual behavior that is observable, and therefore, measurable. A person will tend to act more often than not according to this measurement. Keep in mind that the measurement does not proceed the actions, but that the actions proceed the measurement as viewed by others.
